Description

The Starless Tone Map is an essential part of producing a Tone Mapped Hubble Palette narrowband image. It provides the colored background that shines through the enhanced H-alpha Luminosity layer. While the Tone Map is not as refined as the final Hubble Palette image, it is its own form of starless astro-art. This composite image is some of the Tone Maps from my EdgeHD 9.25 Hubble Palette images. The background image, mostly hidden, is the wider-field Tone Map of the Orion Nebula. Enjoy.
