Barnard’s Galaxy is a Dwarf Irregular Galaxy located in constallation Sagittarius at RA 19h 44m 57.77s and Dec -14° 48' 11.52"

The Dwarf Galaxy classification has to do with the minimum stars in the galaxy, in this case about 10million stars.

NCG6822 is part of our local group of galaxies. One can see curious nebulae, such the bubble visible at the position 13:00, a rich star forming region.

There are a wealth of data and information in the web about this galaxy and others belonging to the same classification, and how they are important for improving the understanding of star's evolution in bigger structures

A note on the new revision:

The goal here was to get a better vision of the cloud of dust and gaz around the galaxy. With this reprocessing, substantial amount of this cloud is now visible and this is a likely place of star forming.
