Description

Image of this beautiful and rich area of the night sky. It's only seen from low latitudes and it is really amazing to see. From a dark location, it is incredible seeing, with the naked eye, the Southern Cross (Crux) Constellation, with its remarkable dark nebulae, the Coalsack nearby; the Centaurus constellation, with its globular cluster, Omega Centauri (not seen in this picture), and also with Alpha and Beta Centauri, the "pointers" to the Cross. Due West, in this image at left, you can see the Carina or Eta Carinae Nebular, visible to the naked eye; but really outstanding in binoculars or in a telescope with low magnification. It is, indeed, real jewels, shining brightly in the Southern Sky. Imaged from Rural Skies, 22ºS, MG, Brazil. Thanks for seeing.
