Description

The night of 16 to 17 March 2012, the Italians Alessandro Dimai and Paolo Fagotti and the slovenian Jure Skvarc discovered independently the supernova SN 2012aw in galaxy M95 with a initial brightness of 15 magnitude. Your subsequent evolution confirms that the object is a young supernova Type II-P because on just three days reached your maximum brightness at 13 mag. and afterwards remained drawing a plateau in your light curve.
