Description

Update: shot another night of color subs and reprocessed. Was able to pull out more of the really faint blue part of the reflection nebula this time.

Here is a slightly over ambitious target for my location (a less than “stellar” orange zone - Bortle 5). This area is in the northern section of Cygnus just above where most of the action is. I blended Ha 70/30 with red to go along with straight Green and Blue channels and an 80/20 blend of Ha and red for the Luminance. It really deserves a lot more integration, especially in the RGB subs. VdB 134 is the main reflection nebula around w1Cyg (the bright star in the upper middle). PLN 86+5.1 is the faint planetary nebula at the bottom. In the full res version you can see the very faint, very blue central star at the center of PLN 86+5.1.
