Shot in one night at GSSP 2014. All subs were taken on Friday night before the clouds completely rolled in. Between the clouds, the sky was very dark and clear, so it made the resulting stack good. Also, temperature was stable and thus focus did not shift.
6 total frames used in the stack for 2 hours of integration. Would like to gather more data to smooth out the darkest regions.
Pentax K10D on the Stellarvue SV4 scope. HEUIB II filter in place instead of a LPR filter to better see the dark lanes. Camera is operating with a broken shutter at this point, requiring longer duration flats (.7 seconds).
Note the flare from a nearby star. I'd removed a bit of the flocking inside the flattener and the previously controlled flare has returned. I'll be painting these parts instead of using flocking paper.
Calibrated with Maxim 5.24. Stacked in DSS. Processed in PixInsight. Had some issues with grainy effects near bright stars, probably due to strangeness with the mask. If I gather additional data, I may revisit the problem.
