Description

On the last night of GSSP 2014, I pointed my telescope at the Veil to take advantage of the clear night sky and the good position of Cygnus.

I didn't check focus before doing the run, so the subs were all slightly out of focus. I'd like to revisit the location again later this season to get something better.

Still, the clear, dark skies really helped bring out the faintest of details.

This is a stack of 12 sub exposures for a total of 4 hours of integration. Used the Pentax K10D camera with the SV4 scope and the HEUIB-II filter. This filter really allows the faintest details show up.

Calibration done in Maxim 5.24, stacking in DSS, Processing in PixInsight.
