Description

A lot of very known objects in this widefield...some thousands lys away.
No mosaic, just a simple widefield taken with a 135 mm lens stooped at f/2.4 in less than an hour with a modified Canon 77D. Downsized by a factor 2.
It was my last summer holiday night spent in Normandy before going back to Amiens where I mainly live and work. The night was very transparent, Bortle 3-4 at the zenith is always nice. I had one hour before moon rise. Seeing was not very good as stars twinkled but who cares when you have 135 mm of focal length ? I am always amazed by this lens, very fast and sharp at 2.4. The 90s subs did not look very good, you merely guess the OIII region of SH-132. Finally the integration process revealed a lot more than expected.
No special processing tricks here, I decided to leave the rich star field and also tried to keep colours what I suppose "natural". Of course separation of stars and nebulae during processing was mandatory, this separated processing with the modern tools has been a game changer in amateur astrophotography.
Clear skies and peaceful end of summer for all of you,
Andreas
