Description

My image of this years biggest supermoon, in 08/10/2014. Actually, in every month (every lunar cycle) there is a Super Moon, because, as the Moon's orbit around Earth is eliptical, there is a point where the moon is closest to Earth (the Perigee). However, yesterday's Super Moon is special because the Perigee and the Full moon coincides. And, the perigee occured 17:44 UT, precisely 26 minutes before the Moon reaches it's completely Full Phase.

That was a great observing night, especially because it was my new Mount's "0.2" Light (It was the 2nd time I use it; but I consider the 1st Light as being the 1st time I use the mount in a Dark Sky (for Astrophotography, especially)). The HEQ5 is a VERY great mount, and its Goto worked pretty well, even after a quick 1 star alignment. There is yet much to be learnt, but I'm getting better on using it.

This image was taken 21:30 (Brazilian Time = -3 UTC), while the Moon had 33º 55' (apparent size). Taken from my Heavily Light-polluted Backyard, SP, Brazil. Thanks for seeing.
