Description

In that beautiful and very cold winter (Southern Hem.) night, at 4:30 AM those galaxies were beautifu and easily visible to the Unaided Eye. They are very large, and as their declination is -70º (roughly) they can't be seen from the Northern Hemisphere. But seeing this southern jewels is really worth the effort.

This image is quite old, from 2013 July. Back at that time I was taking my 1st steps in Astrophotography, this rewarding activity. Alas, back at that time I had no Equatorial Mount, no Telescope, and even no Binoculars! This image was in a simple, fixed tripod. But the Night Sky is beautiful, regardless of the Equipment and Knowledge. Perhaps that's why this image is kind of magical (to me)...

I look forward in trying this framing again, but now with a EQ Mount (EQ3-2 or HEQ5 Pro). This area is really spectacular. Taken from Rural Skies, MG, Brazil. Thanks for seeing.

Camera: Unmodded T4i/650D at ISO 6400
