Description

The Carina nebula lies in the constellation Carina. It includes two stars that are surround by a bright red nebulos cloud. This object lies 7500 to 8000 light years away.

I reprocessed the data using Maxim DL to calibrate, align, stack and stretch to give a better result. I used HaRBG, but next time I will just try a clear filter for the luminance.

The image is uncropped and covers 2.7 by 2 degrees of the sky.

Data:

3 x 60sec 6nm Hydrogen alpha

3 x 60sec Red

2 x 60sec Green (one had to be discarded)

3 x 60sec Blue

All with x2 binning (more by mistake than design).
