Description

The Helix Nebula (NGC 7293 or also the eye of God) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Aquarius having a brightness of +6.30. The apparent diameter is usually specified with 16.0 'x 28.0'. The photo shown here has a diagonal field of view width (FOV) of slightly more than 1 °. The whole structure with all the fine nebulae around is so much greater than the usually specified diameter. The picture was stacked from 200 shots h-Alpha, 105 shots O-III and 135 shots RGB with a total exposure time of 42 hours. Hyper Star 1400 Edge HD on ASA DDM85 (unguided, pointing model). filters Baader and Astronomik, Atik 460 EX mono and Atik 490 EX color, -10 ° C.
