Description

IC 1318, also known as the Gamma Cygni Nebula or the Sadr Region, is a diffuse emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus. At the relatively wide angle provided by the 200mm lens used for this photo, the entirs region shows up as being filled with pockets of ionized hydrogen gas. In the upper right is another gem of the summer sky - the Crescent Nebula, also known as NGC 6888.

RGB data for this image was captured from Ahwahnee Hills Observatory. Hydrogen-Alpha data was captured from my backyard in Clovis, California.
