Description

Took this picture of Uranus with the Canon 60D in 640x480 movie center crop after doing some lunar imaging. Used a Vivitar 3x teleconvertor (Old Pentax screw mount). Converted the MOV file to AVI using PIPP. Stacked best 10% of 3723 frames with AutoStackkert in Drizzle 3.x mode (produces triple size image). Cropped in StarTools. Tried the contrast and sharpening tools in StarTools but they revealed no additional detail. The image does seem to be divided into red, blue, and green areas but that does not reflect the planet's true appearance based on other photographs of Uranus. Maybe it is some kind of refraction effect from the earth's atmosphere.
