Here is the "full" version of M81, using the data I used for Holmberg-IX.

With these images, I can't always find exposure time on each subframe, so exposure time is estimated from a random sample of 50 images.

The image was composed by 158 images, from 106 different amateur astronomers using different telescopes.

M81 is a tough one. It's difficult to get the contrast right, while trying to boost the surrounding dust, and getting the dust bands near the core visible. Also it is surrounded by relatively bright stars, which I decided to crop away, therefore the weird angle. I've included two stretched versions. One emphasise the dust, the other the core.
