Description

Herschel's Garnet Star (mu Cephei) and the edge of IC1396.

Due to technical issues, the frames after the meridian flip were lost, including all of the Red and Luminance frames. The momnochromatic look of the nebulosity comes from using a synthetic Luminance channel that is largely Ha. THe red channel is all Ha.

The patch of nebulosity in the 2 o'clock direction from mu Cephei is GN 21.39.5.
