Description

We are lucky enough to have two supernovae erupting in our sky at the same time. They are in different galaxies but oddly enough are located near each other in the sky.

The parent galaxy for SN 2020 nvb is NGC 4457. The nova went off near the core of its host. I labeled three nearby stars for magnitude comparison.

This is a stack of 20x30 sec exposures taken with a Luminance filter. They are registered, calibrated and drizzled.
