Description

The Owl Cluster, catalogued as NGC 457, is one of my favorite open clusters to observe in the night sky. The distinctive shape of the owl is punctuated by two bright stars that can be imagined as the eyes of the owl. Also visible in this field of view is another open cluster, NGC 436, which can be seen near the lower-right corner.
