Description

The planetary/mass ejection candidate OU4 discovered by Outters et al in 2012. OU4, the Giant Squid Nebula, is located within SH2-129 and based on observations by Romano Corradi, et al. is a possible ejection event from star HR 8119 launched about 90,000 years ago. The distance of these objects is about 700 parsecs.

It is a 2 pane mosaic taken with an AP155 EDF refractor and 0.75x telecompressor. The data was collected over 15 nights of imaging, spread out over two months. This is an object that definitely can use more frames, and I'll add it to my schedule for more data next season.

This is my first mosaic, processed entirely in PixInsight.
