Description

This is an SHO image of the supernova remnant LBN 576, also know as Abell 85 and CTB 1 in the constellation Cassiopeia. My son call it the "Brain Nebula".

It is predominately Ha with almost an equal amount of SII. The OIII seems to be confined to the "frontal lobe" of the nebula.

This is sort of a work in progress and I would like to double the amount of frames for each channel, but the forecast for the next week is not promising, so I decided to process what I have.

Update: I manged to get about double the frames in each band and reprocessed it to use the new data. Seeing was a bit of a problem when acquiring the new frames, so some of the stars exhibit a blue halo.
