Description

Mostly just experimental/practice run, but my first take on M42! ISO400, 17x300". And first image with .62 reducer.

Revision E (2016/2/1): This is with a new camera (T3i/600D instead of 450D) but a similar scope (VC200L instead of VMC200L). But mostly, it is without a reducer (don't have the adapter yet to use the reducer on the new scope). I prefer the view with the reducer, but still I'm surprised how well this turned out from the backyard (I didn't even have to use DBE in PixInsight!). It is 11x300sec ISO400 exposures, where the core is still obviously over-exposed.

Revision F (2016/03/05: New mounted, filed spider vanes. T3i/600D on VC200L with mmalik cooler. 9x120" ISO400, no reducer.

Revision G (2016/03/24): Similar to F (same mount, camera, scope) but longer and guided. 32x120" ISO400 no reducer.
