I have to say, this turned out a lot better than I expected. I originally wanted to place Polaris a bit more to the left, but there was too much light pollution to the right to do that. This is probably the most thought I've ever put into a photo before. I spent probably about 45 min composing the shot and deciding on exposure. I guess when you're planning on taking a 3+ hour long photo, you really want to make sure everything is as good as you can get it.
