Description

M 21 is an Open Cluster (also known as NGC 6531) located in the constellation Sagittarius. It's friend, M 20 is located at the bottom left of the open cluster both in the same constellation. M 21 is located about 5,200 light years from earth and was discovered by Charles Messier on June 5, 1764.
