Description

IC1318 is an emission nebula in Cygni constellation, next to Sadr (Gamma Cygni), Third most luminous star of Cygni. Sadr is just out of the field to prevent blooming.

IC1318 is a part of a large gas cloud which includes the very famous North America Nebula (NGC7000). It is located in the Orion arm, as the sun. We are in the Milky way plane, few tens of degrees of the center.

IC1318 is 3000 ly far. Most of stars of the field are located above (Giant stars are 700 Al to 1000 Al from us). At this distance, the sun is a faint star of 14 mag.

IC1318 size is greater than 100 ly.
