The dynamic range in this nebula is really insane—which made processing this extra hard. That, and DeepSkyStacker kept giving me memory issues, but finally after 4-5 tries (lost count), I was able to get it to stack.

Anyway, this is definitely an improvement on my previous images, but I'm actually still not satisfied. My main issue with this is the crop. It's awkward, because the frame moved a lot during the 262 exposures, so I was limited to the areas that had full overlap. I originally wanted more of the top left nebula area in the frame. I also feel like the inner region is bordering on being blown out (especially the trapezium), but I guess that's better than if it was too dark.

Revision B — So I realized that the initial image had odd colors because of the way that I flattened the 32 bit tiff in Photoshop. I re-ran it and it seems to have produced better results. I also used a bit of noise reduction—maybe too much, but I prefer that over the noise.

Revision C — Very very subtly brought in detail around the trapezium.
