Description

When astroimagers capture data from distant celestial objects, sometimes they process it in different ways. This could bring out details they wish to highlight or just produce the most aesthetically appealing version to their eyes. Here’s an example with four versions of the Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) in the constellation Orion. (4-inch Takahashi 106ED refractor at f/5 and a 3.5-inch Takahashi FSQ85 refractor, SBIG STL-11000M CCD camera, Hydrogen-alpha/LRGB image with exposures of 340, 105, 56, 35, and 42 minutes, respectively)
