Description

IC 59 & IC 63, known as the Gamma Cassiopeiae Nebula and also catalogued as Sh2-185, create a combined reflection and emission nebula near the star Navi (Gamma Cassiopeiae). It is estimated to be approximately 550 light years from Earth.

RGB color data was captured from Eastman Lake Recreation Area, and was augmented with Hydrogen-Alpha narrowband data acquired from my backyard in Clovis, California.
