Description

The Claw Nebula, catalogued as Sh2-157, is a large but faint emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. Also visible in this image, at lower right, is the easily-recognizable open cluster NGC 7510. The nebula is very close in the sky to the Elephant Trunk Nebula.

RGB color data was captured from Eastman Lake Recreation Area. The Hydrogen-Alpha and Oxygen-III narrowband data was captured from my backyard in Clovis, California.
