Description

A monochrome image of NGC 2070 Tarantula in the LMC. Taken from a far south dark site (-43S latitude) - the first shot from my new permanent site! I have not yet had a chance to collect the colour data due to persistent clouds, but I thought I'd post up the nice luminance anyway.

Edit 1: RGB data now added! (Image B)

Edit 2: 'Original' Image is now a different shot of Tarantula, taken with my new QHY22 (10 x 300 sec subs in L, and 10 x 300 sec subs in Ha, blended). These images were unguided, hence the short NB subs, but hey, I was equipment testing. I still liked the result - I'm going to love this new CCD camera!
