Description

NGC210 is an unusual barred spiral galaxy located in the direction of the Constellation Cetus around 70 Million Light-Years distant. It is noted for its two peculiar major arms which seem to be disassociating from the nucleus of the galaxy, perhaps in the beginning stages of forming a ring around the nucleus. The nucleus is very bright and lenticular, with visible dust lanes, probably qualifies as an active galaxy nucleus (AGN). Two other prominent galaxies, which may be loosely associated, are seen in the field of view, along with other faint galaxies in the background.
