Description

The Tadpole Nebula is a large cloud of molecular Hydrogen illuminated by the small Open Cluster of Stars - NGC1893 - whose energetic Stellar Winds are steadily blowing on and eroding away that Gas Cloud. The Tadpoles themselves are just below the center of the image, and are the denser portions of the Cloud resisting that Stellar Wind. While they appear diminutive compared to the greater Nebula, those Tadpoles are multiple Light-Years in length.

Imaged just before Thanksgiving from our SE AZ Dark Site (TAAA CAC).
