Description

While the Open Cluster M52 was bright enough to catch the attention of historic Astronomers such as Messier and Mechain and Herschel, it is the delicate structure of the Bubble Nebula which draws so many modern Observers and Imagers. The Bubble is just that - a spherical space "blown" from the larger H-II Emission Nebula by the stellar winds of an energetic young star near the center of it (neither of the brighter stars seen across the face of the Bubble but rather the dim "dot" nearer the center).
