Description

The Gamma Cygni Nebula area in the heart of the Constellation Cygnus (the Swan) is filled with prominent Nebulosity - so much that I attempted to capture just the central region around Sadr with a 2x2 Mosaic and still had nebulous features escaping off the frame. IC1318 is the designation for this general area. The bright Star at the center is Sadr (Gamma Cygni), and the small cluster of sparkling Stars in upper center is NGC6910.

This Mosaic effort consumed one night's Imaging, with an hour spent on each quadrant (except the upper left - where I ran out of time with dawn intruding on my effort).

Images captured at the 2014 All-Arizona Star Party.
