This is Bodes Nebula. I got a heavier duty mount which allows me to take longer exposures so could try 20 minutes per sub on this. I used Pixinsight for the Processing.

The details are as follows:

9 x 1200 sec luminance
12 x 300 sec luminance
9 x 300 sec each R, G and B filters.

On the whole I am quite pleased with my first CCD galaxy attempt but feel that the colours are not quite there yet.

The galaxy itself is found in Ursa Major and is easily visible in small telescopes under dark skies.Along with M82 (the Cigar Galaxy) it is thought to be part of the nucleus of a small group of galaxys which may the nearest beyond our own local group.
