Description

The red glow in the lower-left is from the lava of Kilauea, the active volcano of the Hawaii Island.

The lens is stopped down to F4 at 28mm. The image contains 12 20-sec exposures at ISO 3200. The stars are aligned and stacked in Registar. The ground images are averaged in Photoshop.

There is another version taken earlier in the same night. It contains 8 20-sec exposures. All other data are the same.

Taken in the morning of 2014/12/21.
