That's my first M45 image. In this image you can see this beautiful Star Cluster as seen from the Sounthern Hemisphere (North is Down).

This beautiful open cluster in the Constellation of Taurus (the Bull), is easily seen to the Naked Eye, even from moderate light pollution. That night, the only clear night during my trip to dark skies (20-28 Dec. 2014), I couldn't perfectlly polar align the Mount, and this set, intended to be a 20x3min or 10x5min, became a 42x1min, the maximum exposure time without terrible trailing (you can see a bit of trails, though). It is far from perfect, but exceeded my expectations.

I tried to stretch this image even more, to show all the interstelar dust that lies in this region - Taurus, but it was impossible. I will probably try this region again next year, with better alignment, and hopefully guiding, with longer subs (~5min) and more integration time... This January I will probably try to shoot Taurus at 40mm, with NGC1499...

Well, I didn't record my temperature that night, but it was around 20ºC. A beautiful and crystal clear skies until about 11pm, when clouds started to come up, and the session was ended at midnight.

*The -B- version of this image features a little less Star Shrinking (using Minimum filter)

*The -C- version is a Crop on the most interesting area, Pleiades itself, with a FOV similar to a 400-600mm Refractor/Lens.*
