      Description

      NGC 3718 and NGC 3729 are a pair of interacting spiral galaxies in Ursa Major. The warped spiral structure is very evident in NGC 3718 (the larger galaxy). Looking closely at the image, you can see faint outer spiral arms.

      Just below NGC 3718, and probably contributing to the warping, is the compact group of 5 interacting galaxies, Hickson 56.
