Description

NGC 660 is a unique polar-ring galaxy located approximately 45 million light years from Earth in the Pisces constellation. IC 148 (upper, left) is a warped disc galaxy, which may have interacted with NGC 660 previously. The interaction of NGC 660 and IC 148 may explain their unusual shapes. Many other smaller background galaxies are also visible in this image.
