Description

This image kicks off a series where we shot as many Messier globular clusters as we could in just a four night period. There was no way to get all the Messier globular clusters this summer, but this series contains 15 out of 28 of the ones in Chuck's catalogue. We don't see a lot of attention paid to these objects here on Astrobin, which is a shame. We could definitely have done a deeper dive on each of these--and we will in future seasons. But we love globular clusters, and while many people say they all look the same, we don't find that to be true. Tim is moving in a couple of weeks, so the scopes had to be packed away, putting an early end to our summer observing. Further, these may well be the last OSC shots we take with the C11 because a new mono setup is on the way.
