Description

The fourth largest asteroid, with an oblong size of 350–500 km. Despite its size, it appears very dim, due to its dark surface and larger-than-average distance from the Sun.

Earth distance: 2.4 AU, motion: 29.6 "/hr

B image is the photometry curve of the asteroid. Here the decrease is due to its slow rotation (period about 27 days) to its shape and/or to bright and dark areas on its surface.
