Description

NGC 2403 is one of the largest galaxies overlooked by Messier.

I had great difficulty processing this - the bright stars were looking very bloated. I tried several techniques, but eventually found it was the mask I was using during HDRMultiscale - this was masking out the stars and causing them to look out of place.

Uploaded a new revision processed from the start in sRGB. The original two images were processed in ProPhoto RGB instead, which make galaxy arms bluey green, rather than blue. This image also has a large scale ACDNR run to smooth the large scale background and help differentiate between the arms and the background.
