Description

The so-called "UFO" galaxy in the Constellation Lynx is 10-25 million ly distant and larger than our Milky Way. I wanted to see if I could get this at all with my AT65 and G3. The G3 CCD is much more sensitive than my T3i DSLR. Captured in monochrome, a little color added in Photoshop.

Seeing what is known to be a super massive galaxy as a mere wisp among a field of stars gives a profound sense of size and distance.
