Description

Tonight has been a rich session - my second with new mount under the sky ! More data (much more) for M42, but that will have to wait. I got curious, as usual : "what would come out of M78?", "Sure I can do better with the Flame !?", "Oh the pretty globular cluster...", "IC1805, the soul isn't it? Let's take some...".

In the end I gathered enough material to keep me busy during cloudy nights. So I decided to start a first editing at the last object I imaged : M 101.

8x O-III (I do need other filters, I know!) - longer exposures of up to 426 sec (not automatic, so I count and get distracted).

9x Lum (how do you call it : just plain light into the camera) of 30 sec each.

Depth of field : better than mag. 16.50 !

Used PixInsight a bit more.

Again, this doesn't look too pretty, but I'm sure with some friend's help and hard work, I'll improve :-)

Enjoy!
