Description

My second session on this old friend : I was planning to acquire more light for IC 1805, but earlier on this evening I though my previous framing on M42 was kind of loozey. So with little time, I could capture 7 0-III frames and another 12 broadband. Here is a first selection of 3 + 7. It's noisier and less resolved than the previous version (stacking 35 shots) but at least the framing is better, isn't it ?

Rule n°567 : spend time on your focusing, especially when changing filters mid-session ! There is a little issue on this in some of these frames... Depth of field goes down to -at best- 16.90

NOTE : there is an issue with the skywatcher O-III filter, on bright stars, it creates a glow. I read it on forums. Here it is ! Baader seems a better choice for astrophotography - unless you like the "artistic bokeh-like effect..." ?
