Description

Finally, after so many cloudy nights, I had the chance to image the comet along with the Andromeda galaxy. The tail is fainter but still present. Data were acquired from my suburban backyard with the lens at 50mm f2.8. Unfortunately the pair was relatively low and at a part of the sky with obstructions and light pollution.

Image B was processed entirely in RawTherapee, after DSS and PixInsight LE.

Image C is a crop near the comet. Astrobin's plate solver identifies M76, the Little Dumbbell planetary nebula, just behind the comet. That was a great surprise!
