Description

I took this image last year using GSO/TPO 10" RC scope +Atik 460ex. Astrophysics CCDT67 was used to reduce the F number to F/4.6-4.7. The sky was rather hazy, and the scope is bit too heavy for long-duration tracking on my G11 in wind. Still, the tilted ring around the galaxy and the dust lane showed up quite well. It is also interesting that this area has a lot of asteroids (I think?) in the background.
