Hi

I'm a French Amateur Astronom and I write articles on watching & describing Deep Sky objects for a French revue called :

https://lastronomie.fr/

original name, isn'it ?

I'm writing you because I'm preparing an article on Messier 97, the Owl nebula, and I would be happy if I could use your picture here attached ;

Do you allow me to publish this picture ?

This will be for the May issue of the magazine ;

Many thanks in advance for your answer.

Have a great day.... or... better a great clear starry night !!!

Best astronomical regards

Gilles SAUTOT

Was able to "shoot" more OIII and Ha raw date to my existing M97 version, 19-20 March-2016.

New exposures, Ha=5*5min and 34*5min of OIII data was added to my exsising M97 color picture.

The OIII halo surrounding M97 now gets visible, due to the amount of OIII data taken, now in total 4 hours in 5min. subs. The total exposure time is now ~ 10 hours.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Owl Nebula picture was taken during Mar-2014 and it's a LHaOIIISIIRGB picture.

Exposures used are like this:

RGB=10 min. each filter, in 60sec. subs. L=40 min. in total, in 30sec. subs.

Ha=13x300sec, OIII=14x300sec, SII=19x300sec.

My home build observatory is placed in my front yard/in the "red light" polution zone, have a look here,

Kind regards Niels
