Description

A wide field shot of parts of the constellations of Carina, Vela, Centaurus and Musca, in the far southern skies. The image is centred on the famous Eta Carina nebula and Southern Pleiades open cluster.

Taken from a dark sky site (fortunately for me, my backyard!), with a basic Sony DSLR mounted on an AZ-EQ6 (no guiding). I'm now looking at doing future wide field shots with my QHY22 and a Canon lens.
