Description

NGC 2403 (Caldwell 7) is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. NGC 2403 is an outlying member of the M81 Group and is approximately 8 million light-years away. It looks a lot like M33, the Pinwheel galaxy, is about 50,000 light years in diameter and contains numerous star-forming H II regions which will require me to collect some Ha data to show well for this target. This image represents my total data collection in 2015 so far, as the weather has not been cooperating. This image also contains PGC21288 on the far left and interacting galaxy pair PGC 21565/21561 on the far right. There is actually a second interacting galaxy pair PGC2679507 slightly below and to the left of the first. North is up.
