Description

A close up picture of what is soon to be the largest solar telescope in the world. It is silhouetted against the galactic center, you can see two pink hydrogen alpha nebulas (Lagoon and triffid amongst other nebulosity). Due to the dark skies of Haleakala i was lucky enough to get a shooting star too! This is perhaps my favorite DSLR picture of the trip. Enjoy!
